And, do you have issues without epics? If so, you may want to also check for empty epic link, such as: project = X AND labels = xyz AND ("Epic Link" != X-123 OR "Epic Link" IS EMPTY) ORDER BY Rank ASC. Best regards, Bill
So, my suggestion is that you remove the "Epic Status" !=Done criteria and instead use Status != Done or even better would be StatusCategory != Done. Mohit Joshi Aug 31, 2022. Thanks for the explanation. the issue with using status!= done it removes all the done tasks from epics that are not done. I want just the epic which are done to remove
project = INFRA AND ("Epic Link" = Databases OR parentEpic = INFRA-5) ORDER BY Rank ASC. Or more specifically this project = INFRA AND ("Epic Link" = Databases OR (parentEpic = INFRA-5 AND key != INFRA-5)) ORDER BY Rank ASC. since the first query returns the epic itself. The second query returns just the stories, tasks and sub-tasks.
The filter specifically does not include Epics because in Kanban if Epics are included in the filter Jira adds them to the list of work (undesired in my case.) In Agile boards, the Epics do not appear in the backlog. This is the bahavior I want, however, if I remove epics from the filter, it will not show the Epic tags on the Kanban board.
I can see on your screeshoot that you're reffering to the Epic Panel no the board itself. To remove the epic from this list you have to change the EpicStatus field to Done. You can do this from the Epic Panel->Select the issue->Click the small Square/triangle icon->"Mark as Done"
Answer accepted. I recently received a similar request from one of the users I work with. Ultimately, you need to set the Epic Status to Done. To do this, add the Epic Status field to the issue screen. Once added, go into the epic that you want to mark as done, and change the epic status to done. This is different than the general issue status.

You should be able to remove Done issues by completing the sprint and creating a new one. The non-Done issues will be migrated to the new board. It's not a bug, it's how SCRUM works. You need to see the Done issues in the active sprint to be able to do the sprint review and retrospective ceremonies.
Answer accepted. You probably refer to the solution described in e.g. this related question, where issues.stories.length is uses to check for open issues in the epic. It also mentions that issues.stories refers to all issues at the level below an Epic: // The stories paramater returns all the issues below the Epic issue to allow there status to
Answer accepted. You have to have permission to be able to delete. I recommend simply closing with an appropriate Resolution code, e.g. won’t do, etc. that said Delete can be found under the ellipses of an issue details view. Do not delete issues. When you delete it is GONE.
2. Bulk edit the tickets to change the workflow to move them back to the backlog. 3. Open up the Backlog view. 4. Drag the tickets out of the sprint into the backlog (this clears the sprint field) 5. Open up each ticket and place it back into the status you need it to have. Voila!
I can then edit and change none to the desired Epic Name. If it isn't there then you need to go to project settings > Issue Layout and edit the layout associated w/ story. If it isn't listed then you need to ensure Epic Link is on the screen config.

Dec 11, 2018 Hi @Fatima, This looks as if you pulled in a Jira macro and accidentally selected multiple issues through a JQL filter. Edit your Confluence page and edit the Jira macro in your table. Suppose you just want to view the PRODUCT-11 epic, just type 'PRODUCT-11' in the search box and press enter to make sure you just see the one issue.

You can create a manually triggered Automation Rule to do this in Jira -. Branch rule for all issues in Epic - clone and update summary to be something like "Clone - { {triggerIssue.summary}}" Clone Epic to new Epic, linking to trigger issue. Branch rule for all issues in epic. * if summary starts with "Clone -".
You can unlink and keep both without any problems. Go to an issue that contains links and locate the Issue Links section. Hover over the link you want to delete and click the Delete icon that appears. If you didn't linked the issues using this resource, can you share a screen to see what type of link you've applied? ppnI8.
