Hi, I'm new on here. I have a problem with my tdci focus. I seem to be getting air in the fuel sysyem. I have pulled diesel right through the sysyem with an electric pump via the return line and at the fuel filter. The car then starts up and running for about 5 min before I see the return hose st Ford Model: 1.8 TDCI Mk2 Focus Ford Year: 2006 as soon as the problem happens. The ECU monitors all kinds of data, if it detects a problem, for example "knock" it may "back off" the amount of fuel injected, irrispective of the amount of throttle, It may decide to put the car into "limp home" mode, this is to protect the engine and to keep you going to get you home. The ecu knows how much throttle you use, how many revs

If I was to trick the ECU into thinking that pressure was 200bar (by using a voltage divider on the FRP sensor), would the ECU then power the injectors? (As a test ofcourse). Also, another question on a different matter; Forscan says that a dpf regen can only be performed when the engine is 65c. Hi, first post of a new member. My daughter's Fiesta 1.4 TDCi 2008 (mark 6 facelift) has some problem that I am hoping someone can help with. When she bought it the car seemed fine but on the way home (motorway driving 70mph) I noticed about 6 times the car would lose power for less than a second and then recover.
Has anyone found a solution to this, my 2009 focus CC 2.0 TDCI ( 85,000 miles) is doing the same, "Engine Malfunction" light comes on and the starter motor doesn't operate, fully charged battery. The first thing happened a few days ago, after freewheeling down a 2 mile slope a warning light came on saying " acceleration limited" and the car was

Hi guys and girls hoping someone can help me out with a recommendation with regards to getting my 1.6tdci dpf delete done I'm in Norwich so really need someone close ish by. I've heard horror stories of the ecu not being properly programmed and the Strictly it is not needed to update the software when there are no problems. In most cases the car will run fine with the old software. Nevertheless in my opinion a firmware upgrade can bring some improvements which will affect the driveability in a positive way. 2. F10TF.
